How historic 1 axiom mission for unique ISs

As confirmed by NASA, on April 8, 2022, the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket managed to take four personal astronauts from the axiom space company from the Kennedy Room Center in Florida to the outside of the earth, marking the mission of the first room of its type. . Axiom-1 (AX-1) mission is intended to be the first to place private country people to the International Space Station (ISS) for a period of greater than eight days. As recorded by Ars Technica, this launch also marks a sixth successful human flight on SpaceX Dragon spacecraft – marking 22 personal astronauts flown into space with spacex designed transportation in the past two years.

According to Tesparati, the axiom-1 mission was initially planned to be launched at the end of 2021. However, it was delayed several times over the past few months, and only a few delays described. It experienced three delays in April only – starting April 1 to April 3, then until April 6, and finally to April 8 which said that safety prevention measures were likely observed and prioritized entirely for this mission, which was raised that spacex had experienced some Disaster rocket failure in the past. Axiom-1 crew is scheduled to dock at the International Space Station on April 9, 2022, at 7:45 a.m. East time.

Why is this historic mission?

Axiom-1 is the first private room flight to the International Space Station, which previously only became the destination for NASA and other government space institutions in Russia, Japan, Canada, and countries which were members of the European Space Agency. It could mark the first in many private space efforts to low earth orbit stations, and it came before the axiom plan to bring a new module to the ISS in 2024, which could help modernize the existing hardware at the station, and it could also open the way For companies to start launching customers to the station in the near future.

This mission was led by former Astronaut NASA Michael López-Alegía, who had spent time in space during a long career with NASA Dating back to STS-73 in 1995. He was also the 14th expedition commander to the ISS in September 2006. AKIOM- 1 The crew consists of pilots, Larry Connor, and two specialists, Eytan Stibbe and Mark Pathy.

Unlike López-Alegría, three other personal astronauts stretch their space legs for the first time. Larry Connor is an American entrepreneur who runs a real estate investment company, called Connor Group, out of Dayton, Ohio. Meanwhile, Eytan Stibbe is a former Israeli air force pilot and entrepreneur, and Mark Pathy is the founder of Mavrik Corp, a private investment organization based in Montréal, Canada.

Personal repair and public opinion

ISS is a modular station, which means that it is a collection of interrelated individual modules, each of which comes from different times and origin of origin. It still includes “Zarya” modules and “unity,” both of which were launched in 1998. The only recent module was the “Nauka” Russian module, which was famous for causing software failure which briefly twisted the entire ISS in 2021.

When the tension with Russia reached a fever on a global scale because of its aggressive encouragement to Ukraine, it made sense to NASA to withdraw from the efforts of the Russian class together and abandoned critical work to renew and maintain the system to Privateers who could do it at their own time. Axiom-1 and his crew stands to prove that the mission of the room can be completed by non-governmental organizations.
